Seosan City Selected as the Top Local Government in Chungnam Province for Year-Round Fundraising Performance

On the 25th, Seosan City in Chungnam announced that it was selected as the top-performing local government in year-round fundraising at the "2024 Sharing Practice Merit Award Ceremony" organized by the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea.

With this selection, the city received a commendation from the Governor of Chungcheongnam-do.

According to the city, on this day, the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea presented awards to local governments and donors who practiced sharing through year-round fundraising in 2023 and fundraising activities during the "Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign" period.

The city promoted on-site health and welfare service campaigns and implemented a system to identify those in welfare blind spots to improve the welfare of vulnerable groups in the region. Through year-round fundraising in 2023, approximately 3.9 billion KRW was raised.

As a result, the city was selected as the top-performing local government in the year-round fundraising category.

Additionally, Cho Deokrae, Vice President of the Seosan City Sports Council, received a commendation from the Governor of Chungcheongnam-do, while Yoo Byungsang, Chairman of the Inji-myeon Community Security Council, and Yoo Gwangjun, CEO of Roksan Co., received commendations from the Chairman of the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea.

Lee Wanseop, Mayor of Seosan, said, "We were able to be selected as the top local government thanks to the interest and affection of citizens who practiced sharing with neighbors despite the difficult economic situation at home and abroad," and added, "We will continue to do our best to ensure warm sharing continues throughout the community."
