Gyeonggi-do Holds the 2nd Labor Welfare Fund Management Deliberation Committee Meeting of 2024 Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office building.

On the 25th, Gyeonggi Province held the Labor Welfare Fund Management Deliberation Committee at the Uijeongbu Northern Government Complex and reviewed and approved the 2025 fund management plan.


The committee, chaired by Oh Hu-seok, Deputy Governor for Administration 2, was attended by a total of seven members, including Geum Cheol-wan, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Labor Bureau, members of the Provincial Council, representatives of labor and management organizations, and appointed experts in labor, employment, and fund management.


At the meeting, three agenda items were all approved as originally proposed: ▲ Report on the performance analysis of the 2023 fiscal year fund management ▲ First amendment to the 2024 fiscal year fund management plan ▲ 2025 fiscal year fund management plan. Additionally, reappointment of existing members whose terms had expired and appointment of new members were also carried out.


According to the 2025 fund management plan, the province will invest a budget of 2.6 billion KRW to continue 15 ongoing projects, including the Federation of Korean Trade Unions Scholarship and Cultural Foundation project.


Oh Hu-seok, Deputy Governor for Administration 2 of Gyeonggi Province, stated, “In the rapidly changing labor environment, we will discover new projects and efficiently manage the Labor Welfare Fund to improve workers’ welfare.”


Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Province Labor Welfare Fund was established in December 1999 and has been actively promoting fund projects since 2002, supporting the welfare enhancement of workers and labor organizations in the province as well as the development of future-oriented labor policies.
