‘Yangsan-si Citizen Integration Committee’ 2nd Term Inauguration Ceremony Held

'Collaborative, Voluntary, and Open Committee' Proposes New Operational Directions

Chairman Park Won-hyun and Vice Chairwoman Gu Sun-ja Appointed Respectively

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam held the inauguration ceremony for the 2nd term of the “Yangsan Citizen Integration Committee,” a body that gathers diverse opinions from various sectors of society on major city policies, on the 25th at the Yangsan Business Center Convention Hall.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the 2nd term committee members, provincial and city council members, and administrative officials. The event began with a congratulatory performance by the Yangsan City Choir, followed by a progress report, certificate presentation, greetings, an integrity pledge ceremony, an integration performance, and a commemorative photo session. Notably, the progress report outlined three operational directions: a cooperative committee, a voluntary committee, and an open committee.


At the ceremony, Park Won-hyun from the Economic and Industrial Division was appointed as the chairman to lead the 2nd term of the Citizen Integration Committee, and Gu Sun-ja from the Safety and Environment Division was appointed as the vice-chairman. Additionally, the committee held an integrity pledge ceremony, committing to serve as a model for a clean Yangsan. The pledge ceremony proceeded with the reading and signing of the integrity pledge.

The Yangsan Citizen Integration Committee was launched as a key pledge of Mayor Na Dong-yeon’s 8th term in October 2022 with 100 members across five divisions. Over two years, the committee has recommended 157 policy proposals, of which 72 have been adopted and are being implemented.


Mayor Na Dong-yeon emphasized, “As the saying goes, ‘If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.’ It is important that we all join forces to create the future of Yangsan.”


Chairman Park Won-hyun stated, “I will do my best to maximize the capabilities of the committee members,” adding, “We will closely communicate with various stakeholders, mediate conflicts, and build consensus to create a committee that brings about tangible change.”
