Kmong, a freelance market platform operator, announced on the 25th the launch of ‘Search Assistant Kai (k.ai),’ which recommends the optimal experts through the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI)-based search functions.
Kmong’s Search Assistant Kai is a hybrid search system that combines large language model (LLM)-based technology, which understands the search intent and conditions from the client’s requests, with a semantic search engine. It is explained that it finds the most suitable experts in real-time from Kmong’s vast pool of professionals.
Additionally, it includes an ‘AI-based recommendation’ feature that allows users to accurately explore information about desired experts and easily compare them, helping customers to inquire with experts quickly and easily. It is characterized by summarizing up to three products at once and comparing each compressed information and price details.
Currently, Kmong is operating a pilot test by prioritizing the design category, which has the highest customer demand, aiming for the official release of Search Assistant Kai in 2025. During the approximately one-month test period, inquiry time was reduced by up to five times. The purchase conversion rate of new customers also improved significantly. New customers who received service recommendations through Kai showed up to six times higher purchase conversion rates compared to customers who explored category lists or searched directly.
