KRM Supplies Quadruped Robot 'Vision 60' for South Korean Army Adoption

KR M announced on the 24th that it has signed a supply contract for the quadruped robot ‘Vision 60’ to be introduced to one location of the Republic of Korea Army.

This supply contract will be conducted as a pilot project. The lead organization is the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), and the detailed lead organization is the Republic of Korea Army Headquarters.

The name of this pilot project is the ‘Defense Service Robot Demonstration Pilot Project.’ It is based on the urgent need for unmanned defense due to the sharp decline in manpower resources, and the project is being carried out with the purpose of establishing a future introduction and expansion system.

KR M will begin supplying two Vision 60 quadruped robots as patrol and reconnaissance robots to one location of the Army in this project. The Army will use them primarily for rough terrain movement, identifying suspicious individuals during day and night and transmitting video, and long-distance automatic patrol demonstrations.

Park Kwang-sik, CEO of KR M, said, "Starting with this pilot project, we will continue to expand the supply of Vision 60 products to defense and public institutions in the future," adding, "We will continuously support the Republic of Korea Army with AI technologies such as autonomous driving and object recognition developed in-house, as well as mission equipment."
