Gyeonggi-do Designates 'Operating Permitted Industrial Complex'... 300 Million KRW Support Over 3 Years
On the 24th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that the Donghang and Donghang2 General Industrial Complexes located in Yangseong-myeon have been designated as 'Industrial Complexes Permitted to Operate Chartered Commuter Buses' by Gyeonggi Province.
This project aims to alleviate commuting difficulties for workers by operating chartered commuter buses in industrial complexes with poor transportation conditions. If selected for the support project, up to 300 million KRW will be provided over three years, with 100 million KRW annually.

The city explained that the Donghang and Donghang2 complexes designated this time have low accessibility to public transportation, causing difficulties for workers commuting to and from work. Earlier, Mayor Kim Bora of Anseong City heard about these challenges during a meeting with companies in the industrial complex and has been promoting the designation of 'Industrial Complexes Permitted to Operate Chartered Commuter Buses' since last year.
With this designation, the city plans to introduce chartered buses for workers commuting to the industrial complexes within the city before May next year. Additionally, the city intends to apply for the Gyeonggi Province Regional and Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project, which is hosted by Gyeonggi Province, to receive national funding.
A representative of a company in the industrial complex expressed expectations that "this designation will not only resolve commuting inconveniences for workers but also greatly help alleviate labor shortages."
