On the 26th at 1:30 PM, the youth-led festival "Nanjangpan" planned by the Youth Planning Group will be held at Seongsu Shoe Theme Park... Featuring themes that resonate with both MZ and parents, including youth club performances, newtro experiences, and play areas
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Wono) will hold the representative youth festival of Seongdong-gu, ‘Nanjangpan’ (Subtitle: Newtro Seongdong Festa) at Seongsu-dong Shoe Theme Park on the 26th.
Marking its 15th year, the youth festival is planned and promoted directly by the Youth Planning Group. Related organizations including Seongdong Youth Culture House, Seongdong Youth Center, and Seongdong Youth Counseling Welfare Center come together to create a festival full of youth dreams and passion.
The youth festival ‘Nanjangpan’ attracts youth interest every year with a unique theme. This year’s event is held under the theme of ‘Newtro,’ which both parents and the MZ generation can relate to and enjoy. ‘Newtro’ is a newly coined word meaning ‘new retro,’ a blend of ‘new’ and ‘retro.’ The event venue is decorated with various experience booths, photo zones, graffiti experiences, and game zones where youth can enjoy the ‘Newtro’ sensibility, a new interpretation of the old.
The event starts at 1:30 PM, with the presentation of the Seongdong Youth Award and Youth Merit Award, followed by the main program.
On the performance stage, matching the Newtro vibe, the Y2K-Young Stage zone will showcase youth talents honed over time, including ▲youth band clubs ▲dance clubs ▲samulnori (traditional Korean percussion) ▲historical musicals, and more.
The festival will conclude with a special performance celebrating the youth festival, featuring a DJ team composed of girls’ hip-hop and girls’ locking, along with an MB Crew b-boy performance to energize the youth.
Jeong Wono, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “I hope the youth festival will be a special day for young people to relieve accumulated stress and create memories with friends,” adding, “We will continue to strive for the healthy leisure culture and diverse experiential activities of youth.”
