Yangpyeong County Council Concludes 305th Extraordinary Session... Approves 10 Items Including Ordinance Proposals Yangpyeong County Council held the 2nd plenary session on the 23rd and approved a total of 10 agenda items, including the report on the site inspection results of major projects for 2024, ordinances, and consent proposals.

The Yangpyeong County Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Hwang Seon-ho) held its 2nd plenary session on the 23rd and resolved a total of 10 agenda items, including the report on the on-site inspection results of major projects for 2024, ordinances, and consent proposals. The 305th extraordinary session, which was held over a period of 13 days starting from the 11th, was concluded.


During this extraordinary session, from the 15th to the 18th, the Special Committee on Major Projects (Chairperson Yoon Soon-ok) was operated, focusing on inspecting eight major projects promoted by Yangpyeong County that are closely related to the lives and safety of residents. The committee members who visited the sites actively engaged in legislative activities by checking the progress of the projects, identifying issues, and suggesting directions for improvement.


Subsequently, from the 21st to the 22nd, the Special Committee for the Interim Report on the 2024 Administrative Audit Findings and Measures was held, during which Yangpyeong County reported on the results of actions taken and future plans regarding a total of 83 audit findings.


Chairman Hwang Seon-ho stated, "The executive branch should actively review and reflect on the issues pointed out by the council members during the recent on-site visits to major projects and the interim report on the 2024 administrative audit findings and measures, as well as the alternatives proposed, considering that these directly affect the lives of our residents."


Meanwhile, the Yangpyeong County Council plans to conclude this year’s legislative activities by handling the 2025 budget proposal, inquiries about county administration, and other agenda items at the 2nd regular session starting on December 2.
