Yang Soo-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, is shaking hands with residents at the 'Gwangjeok-myeon Hanmaeum Festival (Citizen Sports Competition)' recently held at Baekseok Sports Park. Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju recently attended the ‘Gwangjeok-myeon Hanmaeum Festival (Citizen Sports Competition)’ organized by the Gwangjeok-myeon Sports Association (President Ji Su-wol) at Baekseok Sports Park and praised the efforts of the officials who worked hard to prepare the event.
According to Yangju City on the 23rd, the event, created as a place for local residents to communicate for harmony and healthy community development, was attended by Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju, National Assembly member Jeong Seong-ho, Chairman Yoon Chang-cheol of the Yangju City Council, city and provincial council members, Im Jae-geun, President of the Yangju Sports Association, and about 800 local residents.
The event featured various programs that everyone could enjoy together, including ▲Cheerful Sports Day ▲Men’s and Women’s Penalty Shootout ▲Pyongyang Art Troupe congratulatory performance ▲Village-based residents’ singing contest.
Ji Su-wol, President of the Gwangjeok-myeon Sports Association, said, “I hope this becomes an occasion where many people can come together happily and joyfully,” adding, “I hope everyone enjoys the programs prepared by the Sports Association and the executive committee.”
Ahn Dong-jun, Chairman of the Gwangjeok-myeon Council of Social Organizations, said, “We promise to continue to provide active support for the coexistence of Gwangjeok-myeon residents and the development of the local community,” and added, “I hope today’s Hanmaeum Festival becomes a place for unity and communication among all residents of the myeon.”
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, “I hope that through this event held in the autumn season of change, citizens felt comfort and vitality that they do not usually experience in their daily lives,” and added, “We will continue to make greater efforts so that performances and events with good intentions can be held frequently close to the citizens.”
