National Health Insurance Service Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Headquarters Holds 'Long-term Care Safety Council' Performance Sharing Meeting

Collaboration with Related Organizations, Creating a Safer Care Environment

The National Health Insurance Service Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (Director Choi Deok-geun) held a performance sharing meeting of the 'Long-term Care Safety Council,' consisting of 28 members from 15 organizations including the metropolitan local governments of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, institutional associations, Busan Police Agency, Busan Fire Headquarters, Elder Protection Agency, and Infectious Disease Control Support Group on the 23rd.

The council collaborates among key organizations related to the safety of long-term care sites to ensure that citizens can receive care services with peace of mind, performing safety net functions in care sites such as ▲supporting a safe environment for beneficiaries ▲preventing elder abuse ▲infection control in residential facilities.

This year, through various projects such as ▲cardiopulmonary resuscitation experience for NHIS employees and institution workers ▲safety accident prevention management ▲participation in elder abuse prevention education and public campaigns ▲customized infection site consulting for long-term care institutions, the council has driven the improvement of long-term care service quality.

Director Choi Deok-geun stated, “Through linkage and cooperation with related local community organizations, we were able to more thoroughly ensure safety in long-term care sites,” and added, “The NHIS will focus administrative efforts on establishing a proactive safety accident prevention system to create a system that citizens can use with confidence.”
