Won 239.5 Billion KRW for Balan~Namyang Expressway Private Investment Project
1.429 Billion KRW for Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Campus Substation Construction
HL D&I Hanla announced on the 23rd that it has secured two projects worth 382 billion KRW this month.
On the 21st, HL D&I Hanla won the construction contract for the Balan~Namyang Expressway private investment project. This project is a profit-sharing type private investment project (BTO-a) in which HL D&I Hanla participates as the lead company. BTO-a is a method where the government guarantees repayment of principal and interest for 70% of the total private investment amount and shares any excess profits. Accordingly, the contract amount is 239.5 billion KRW, which is 70% of the total construction cost of 342.2 billion KRW.
This project involves constructing and operating a four-lane, two-way, automobile-only road approximately 15.36 km long, connecting Sangsin-ri, Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do to Songnim-ri, Namyang-eup. After detailed design and various impact assessments, construction is scheduled to begin in 2026 and the road is expected to open by the end of 2029. The construction period is 48 months, and the operation period is 40 years from the start date.
Additionally, on the 11th, HL D&I Hanla secured the contract for the construction of the "Pyeongtaek 345kV Substation" at Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Campus (General Industrial Complex A4-1 Block) in Godeok Internationalization Planning District, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, commissioned by Samsung Electronics. The contract amount is 142.9 billion KRW.
A representative of HL D&I Hanla stated, "We are actively pursuing orders in line with policy changes such as living-type social overhead capital (SOC) projects and preliminary feasibility exemption support projects, and we plan to discover new high-quality clients."
Meanwhile, HL D&I Hanla has extensive experience in SOC private investment projects, having secured and operated projects such as the Pyeongtaek-Siheung Expressway and Pyeongtaek East Expressway. Since winning the largest single parking building project in Asia, the Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Campus parking building project in 2018, the company has been steadily carrying out Samsung Electronics commissioned projects including facility renovation and maintenance works.
