[Featured Stock] Samki EV Cuts Electric Vehicle Core Component Weight by 90%... Selected as Hyundai Motor's New Technology

Samki EV is showing strong performance. It appears that the news of showcasing innovative battery technology at Hyundai Motor Company's '2024 R&D Partner Tech Day' is influencing the stock price.

As of 2:44 PM on the 23rd, Samki EV is trading at 2,470 KRW, up 25.89% from the previous day.

Samki EV's ‘CTP Battery Cell Sensing FFC Cable’ was selected as an exhibition new technology at Hyundai Motor Company's Tech Day.

CTP (Cell to Pack) technology is an innovative method that enhances the efficiency and energy density of battery packs. Samki EV's ‘Cell Sensing FFC Cable for CTP’ is a new technology that can reduce weight by more than 90% compared to conventional wire harnesses, and its compact and flexible design allows installation in spaces where wire harnesses are difficult to use.

The FPCB, a cell sensing cable used in batteries, typically has a product length of 0.6m, making length extension technically challenging. Samki EV's new technology, the ‘Cell Sensing FFC Cable for CTP,’ can be manufactured up to 2 to 3 meters in length using roll-to-roll manufacturing methods, meeting battery requirements. This technology also offers price competitiveness. Additionally, the most outstanding feature of this new technology is its improved heat resistance temperature of up to 250 degrees Celsius, compared to about 100 degrees Celsius for conventional FFC cables.

Samki EV's ‘Cell Sensing FFC Cable for CTP’ plays a crucial role in battery systems and is expected to contribute to battery performance monitoring and safety enhancement.

Yang Seung-deok, head of Samki EV's automotive electronics division, said, "We are pleased that our company's technological capabilities were recognized through participation in Tech Day," adding, "We will continue to introduce innovative products through ongoing research and development and contribute to the activation of the global electric vehicle market."

The new technology is applicable not only to the electric vehicle market but also to the energy storage system (ESS) market, and joint development is underway with domestic ESS companies.
