For Grade 9, Fixed-Term, and Public Service Positions

Uijeongbu-si Conducts Workplace Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Prevention Training Mayor Kim Dong-geun is giving a greeting at the 'Workplace Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Prevention Education' on the 22nd.

Gyeonggi Uijeongbu City (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 23rd that on the 22nd, it conducted sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention education for Grade 9, term-based (Grades Na to Ma), and public service workers at the Uijeongbu Youth Center.


This education invited Yeom Geon-ryeong, director of the Korea Institute of Criminology, to provide guidance on the proper attitude and response methods for public officials to create a workplace culture free from sexual harassment and sexual violence.


The program mainly covered practical topics such as cases of workplace sexual harassment and sexual violence, including digital sex crimes and advanced manipulation technologies (deepfake), procedures for handling incidents, and behavioral guidelines to prevent secondary damage.


Employees who attended the training wrote various opinions in a survey, such as “From now on, when a colleague faces a victimization situation, I will try not only to report but also to provide appropriate help,” and “It helped improve my gender sensitivity.”


Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “The reason we must prevent sexual harassment and sexual violence is to create a pleasant and safe workplace for everyone,” and added, “I will continue to make efforts so that all employees can foster a violence-free and gender-equal organizational culture.”
