Hyundai Wia Unveils Integrated Thermal Management Module at German Parts Exhibition

Hyundai Wia is targeting the European market with electric vehicle-specific parts such as the integrated thermal management module.


On the 22nd (local time), Hyundai Wia announced on the 23rd that it unveiled the 'Integrated Thermal Module,' which combines coolant and refrigerant modules, at the international automotive parts exhibition IZB 2024 held at Alepark in Wolfsburg, Germany.


At this exhibition, Hyundai Wia is showcasing a total of 16 types of automotive parts, including thermal management components for electric vehicles. IZB 2024 is a large-scale automotive parts exhibition hosted by Volkswagen, attracting over 50,000 visitors.

Hyundai Wia is focusing on securing European customers centered on electric vehicle parts at this exhibition. In particular, it introduced the Integrated Thermal Module, developed this year, for the first time at this event. This part combines the most essential coolant and refrigerant modules for electric vehicle thermal management into a single module. Through modularization, it improves thermal management efficiency while allowing 25% more space utilization compared to existing solutions.


Additionally, Hyundai Wia exhibited HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) modules and heat exchangers, compressors, which are parts of the electric vehicle air conditioning system. Other exhibits included the electric vehicle drive part 'electrified torque vectoring system (e-TVTC)' and the next-generation drive part 'Integrated Drive Axle (IDA)'.


A Hyundai Wia official said, "We are pleased to be able to showcase Hyundai Wia’s advanced parts technology in the European market," adding, "We will strive to expand orders within the European region through continuous research and development and active sales efforts."
