Exhibition of Korean Launch Vehicle Nuri and Small SAR Satellite for Earth Observation
Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems announced on the 23rd that they will participate in the 'International Aerospace Technology Exhibition (AEROTEC 2024)' held from the 23rd to the 25th at the Changwon Convention Center in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam.
This exhibition, with participation from 175 domestic and international companies, is hosted by the Space Agency, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Changwon Special City, and organized by the Korea Aerospace Promotion Association (KASP) and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Defense Acquisition Program Administration, and Korea Aerospace Research Institute are sponsors.
Hanwha Aerospace, together with Hanwha Systems and Satrec Initiative, has set up an integrated exhibition hall to showcase their combined capabilities in the space industry. They will also present the propulsion system of the Korean launch vehicle 'Nuriho', which performs system integration tasks with the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, and the propulsion system responsible for orbit adjustment and attitude control of the lunar probe Danuriho.
Hanwha Systems will exhibit the country's first domestically developed Earth observation 'small SAR satellite'. The SAR satellite can capture clear images of target areas regardless of day or night and weather conditions, providing video information. Satrec Initiative, which was the first in Korea to export satellites, will display the ultra-high-resolution observation satellite SpaceEye-T.
Son Jae-il, Chairman of the Korea Aerospace Promotion Association (CEO of Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems), said, "In a situation where the global aerospace industry is rapidly growing based on technological innovation and global cooperation, I hope this event will contribute to strengthening South Korea's aerospace industry competitiveness and pioneering new markets."
