Famous same-sex couple YouTuber 'Danana', who has about 900,000 subscribers, shed tears after losing their pet cat due to the negligence of a cleaning service employee.

On the 21st, a video titled "It's Time to Let Go Now" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Danana'. The video quickly became a hot topic online, surpassing 1 million views within 15 hours of being uploaded. In the video, Dan (real name Kim Kyung-eun) revealed that their pet cat 'Pin', who had been with them for 11 years, passed away due to an unfortunate accident.

The accident occurred on August 12th when they requested a house cleaning service. Dan said, "There was a pet checkbox on the application form," adding, "Because we marked it, we thought we would receive professional service."

However, after leaving the cleaning to the service and going to work, Dan was shocked upon returning home to find the cat nowhere inside the house. They immediately searched the entire complex, from the apartment rooftop to the underground parking lot, but the cat was nowhere to be found. Dan recalled, "I tried contacting the cleaning company, but it was outside of their consultation hours, so I couldn't reach them," and "I went to the pest control room to check the CCTV myself and heard the news about the cat's accident there."

The security guard they met there said, "(The cat) was found dead in the flower bed," and "I personally buried the body." Later, after Dan collected the body and took it to a veterinary hospital for an X-ray, it was confirmed that the cat had died from a fall accident.

The fall accident is presumed to have occurred because a cleaning service employee accidentally left a window open. Dan said, "At 10 a.m., I saw the living room window was open and asked them not to open it," adding, "Hana (real name Lee Hana) also checked at 2 p.m. before leaving and confirmed the window was closed."

They had scheduled the cleaning service from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dan explained, "The cleaning staff said they had more to do and left the house at 5:38 p.m." The cleaning employee opened the living room window and screen around 5 p.m. to shake out the kitchen mat, then closed the door immediately and lowered the blinds, but it is presumed that the cat fell during that time.

Dan shared, "At first, the sudden farewell was so painful that I felt a lot of resentment and denial. I was complacent in trusting the company," continuing, "When I open the front door, I feel like Pin would greet me just like every day for 11 years. Now that Pin is gone, Hana struggles to open the door properly. She can't bring herself to come in front of it." Dan was at a loss for words. They added, "It's already been two months since the accident. Now, I'm trying to accept the situation without Pin. We have to live on as we are," showing tears and evoking sympathy.

Netizens who saw the video reacted strongly, saying things like, "They were supposed to leave by 5 p.m., but leaving at 5:38 p.m. seems like they were looking for the cat," "I've used cleaning services before, and they never stay 38 minutes past the scheduled time. They leave right on time," "They must have known the cat was missing. It's creepy," "They were told not to open the door but did, so it's the employee's responsibility," "They should have told the truth from the start. It looks like a lie to anyone," and "File a compensation claim immediately."

Meanwhile, 'Danana' is a YouTube channel run by the same-sex couple Dan and Hana. The two share affectionate 'couple vlogs' with their pet cat, attracting numerous fans worldwide. Following the news of their pet's death, fans have been sending messages of support and comfort.
