The city revealed its plan to promote the construction earlier this year at the New Year's press conference to prepare for growth into a city of 1 million people by 2035 and to respond to various citizen administrative demands. Since August, it has started the basic plan establishment project. Accordingly, the city formed a new city hall construction TF centered on related practical departments for practical consultation and comprehensive discussions.
This meeting was the first meeting of the new city hall construction TF and was arranged for multifaceted discussions on the basic plan establishment project initiated in August.
At the meeting, about 20 people including Hong Ji-seon, Deputy Mayor of Namyangju City, officials from related practical departments, related organizations, and project company representatives attended and focused on discussing the current status of the new city hall construction promotion and discovering tasks by sector to be reflected in the basic plan for feasibility investigation.
Deputy Mayor Hong Ji-seon said, "The construction of the new city hall is an important project preparing for Namyangju City's centennial future," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide better administrative services to citizens through systematic establishment of the basic plan for the new city hall construction, based on collecting diverse opinions and multifaceted discussions and reviews."
Starting with this first meeting, the city plans to continuously promote comprehensive discussions on the basic plan establishment through the operation of the new city hall construction TF.
