Gwangju-si Gonjiam-eup Community Security Council, Practicing Local Love

The Community Security Council of Gonjiam-eup, Gwangju City, is carrying out the "Warm Winter" project on the 23rd to give a warm winter to neighbors in need.

The Community Security Council of Gonjiam-eup, Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, carried out the "Warm Winter Campaign" on the 23rd to provide a warm winter to neighbors in need.

This project was designed to help 40 vulnerable households during the severe cold season by providing customized heating supplies such as heating oil, briquettes, winter blankets, and electric mats to ensure they can spend a warm winter.

The supplies, purchased with approximately 18 million won in donations from the Community Chest of Korea, were personally delivered by council members who also checked on the recipients' well-being. It is expected to be a great support for low-income families who are facing increased difficulties due to recent price hikes.

Lee Deok-gyun and Lee Jin-won, co-chairs of the Gonjiam-myeon Community Security Council, said, "We are very pleased to be able to convey the warm hearts of the community through this project," adding, "We will continue to create a Gonjiam-eup that supports neighbors in need through ongoing interest and assistance."
