Support of up to 180,000 KRW for Pre-Pregnancy Testing Costs for Couples of Childbearing Age
The Dongducheon City Public Health Center in Gyeonggi announced on the 23rd that it will conduct a pre-pregnancy health management support project for couples of childbearing age (including common-law marriages) who wish to conceive or are preparing for pregnancy, starting from the 22nd.
Pre-pregnancy health management refers to comprehensive care aimed at promoting the health of both the mother and fetus by encouraging healthy pregnancy and childbirth for both men and women before pregnancy.
This project supports fertility tests for pregnancy and childbirth, and any couple residing in Dongducheon City as of the application date who wish to conceive and give birth can apply.
The support includes ovarian function tests for women (AMH, gynecological ultrasound) and semen analysis for men. Women can receive up to 130,000 KRW and men up to 50,000 KRW once per person. Any excess costs must be borne by the individual.
Applications can be made by visiting the health center or online, and separate applications are required for men and women. For online applications, proceed through the e-Health Center website.
Once the application is approved, applicants receive a referral form and visit a participating medical institution. After the test, within three months, submit the medical fee receipt, detailed statement, and a copy of the bankbook to the health center or claim online to receive the test fee in the applicant’s bank account.
