Samsung SDS announced on the 23rd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Air Force Headquarters for innovation in Air Force logistics.
Through this agreement, they plan to mutually cooperate on ▲digital transformation of the logistics management system ▲demand forecasting and analysis of logistics resources ▲innovation of supply chain management systems.
Samsung SDS expects to contribute to demand forecasting and analysis of logistics resources and optimization of resource utilization by applying the latest IT technologies such as cloud, generative artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics for the digital innovation of the Air Force logistics management system.
Additionally, Samsung SDS and the Air Force will share know-how in logistics operations and supply chain management (SCM) and continuously consult on issues related to changes in military and civilian logistics systems and technologies.
Jung Seon-gyu, Chief of the Air Force Headquarters Logistics Staff, said, "We hope this agreement will serve as a foothold to newly innovate the Air Force logistics system."
Lee Jung-hyun, Vice President and Head of Strategy Marketing at Samsung SDS, said, "Samsung SDS has been actively supporting digital innovation in the public and defense sectors by utilizing cloud and generative AI recently. We will continue to cooperate to build a future-oriented logistics system and digital transformation for the Air Force."
