The City Confirms Grades for 11 Proposals at the Final Competition
On the 23rd, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it selected "Four Seasons, Four Colors Exciting Playground, Visiting Children's Popup Playground" as the grand prize winner at the "2nd Icheon City Public Officials Innovation and Idea Contest" held to improve administrative services.

The city explained that at the final contest held on the 21st in the city hall's main conference room, the results of the evaluation of 11 proposals submitted by city officials led to this selection. A total of 46 people participated in the judging, including 22 citizen judges and 24 senior city officials.
Besides the grand prize-winning "Visiting Children's Popup Playground," the excellence award went to "Construction Talk," a GIS service that notifies the location of construction work. The merit awards were given to three projects: "Customized Guidance Service (from Birth to Death)," "Digital Promotion Utilizing Government Building Space," and "Development and Distribution of a Self-Diagnosis Program to Prevent Unfair Overtime Allowance Receipt."
Additionally, the merit awards included projects such as "Double Benefit: Revitalizing the Local Economy and Increasing Revenue at Once through Park Operation Improvement," "Digital Twin-Based Integrated Road Excavation Management System," "Operation of Alley Restaurant Field Support Team," "Establishment of a Shared Unmanned Cafe for Agricultural Specialty Processed Products," "Creation of a Pet Theme Park," and "Maintenance Project Academy."
This contest was organized to improve the quality of administrative services that citizens can feel through discovering new policy projects and work innovations under the vision of "New Icheon" in the 8th term of the elected government. Creative ideas proposed by officials in charge of relevant fields will be reflected in actual policies and implemented. A total of 16 proposals were submitted, and after the first and second rounds of evaluation, 11 were selected for the final contest held on this day.
Mayor Kim Kyung-hee said, "It was a meaningful contest where many innovative ideas reflecting voices from the field were discovered," adding, "We will prepare various incentive measures that can motivate the development of city administration and proactive actions by public officials to enhance achievements."
