Applications Accepted from the 28th of This Month to the 15th of Next Month
The Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) announced on the 23rd that it is accepting applications for the appointment of inheritance property managers for victims of jeonse whose landlords have passed away.
The application period is from 10 a.m. on the 28th of this month until 6 p.m. on the 15th of next month. Applications can be submitted online, in person, or by mail through the Safe Jeonse Portal, Auction and Public Sale Support Center, Jeonse Damage Support Centers (6 locations), and HUG branches (7 locations).
HUG is assisting victims of jeonse whose landlords have died but whose heirs have not been confirmed, making legal proceedings difficult, by collaborating with professional legal scriveners affiliated with the Korea Federation of Legal Scriveners to support the appointment of inheritance property managers. When there are multiple jeonse victims with the same deceased landlord, the process is conducted through regular public announcements to reduce the applicant's burden of costs such as manager fees. HUG supports the attorney's fee and the initial manager's fee, while other costs such as stamp duty, delivery fees, and additional deposits must be borne by the applicant.
Yoo Byung-tae, President of HUG, stated, "We will conduct announcements for support applications for the appointment of inheritance property managers quarterly in the future to more thoroughly support jeonse victims and will continue efforts to alleviate inconveniences."
