Participation Possible Without Separate Application
Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Il-ha) will hold the 'Dongjak Walking Day' event at Boramae Park (Yeouidaebang-ro 20-gil 33) on the 26th.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will walk a total 2km course starting barefoot from the Barefoot Park along the walking trail inside Boramae Park, passing through Mugunghwa Garden, Cherry Blossom Tree Path, Rural Experience Center, and Music Fountain, while experiencing four programs: ▲ Match Your Health! O/X Quiz ▲ Improve Health by Practicing No Smoking and Moderate Drinking ▲ Learn About My Healthy Walking Posture ▲ Smart Posture Check, as part of an interactive stamp tour walk.
Completers can take commemorative photos with a photo booth and receive an eco-friendly kitchenware set as a souvenir. Any Dongjak-gu resident interested in health and walking can participate without prior registration. For inquiries, contact the Health Promotion Division by phone.
The district operates a monthly 'Walking Challenge with Dongjak-gu.' The walking challenge is conducted through the WalkOn app, with different challenges and prizes each month, attracting a total of 7,794 participants in the first half of the year. The October walking challenge allows entry by walking more than 60% of the Boramae Park walking course by the 27th. Among the applicants, CU mobile coupons will be given by lottery.
Mayor Park Il-ha said, “Through this event, I hope residents will learn the correct posture that suits themselves and become healthier,” adding, “We will continue to develop various policies to promote residents’ health and prevent diseases.”
