Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, signed a business agreement with the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity on the afternoon of October 22nd in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the district office main building.
At this signing ceremony, Mayor Choi Ho-gwon of Yeongdeungpo District and Jo Yool-rae, Chairman of the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, signed the agreement with the intention of "laying the foundation for the spread of science and technology culture and the sustainable development of talent."
Mayor Choi is leading various science programs such as ▲overseas advanced science culture experience camps ▲providing science culture vouchers to both elementary and middle school students ▲visiting science principle experience classes ▲life science classes, aiming to develop Yeongdeungpo into a "special district for science education."
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “I hope this agreement will serve as an important stepping stone for nurturing future scientific talent in the district,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to create an educational environment where local youth can experience and learn science up close through various projects incorporating science.”
