Hong Nampyo, Changwon Special City Mayor, Completes Sharing and Communication with Citizens of 5 District Offices

On the 22nd, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held an interactive communication session with citizens at the Olympic Memorial Hall in Masanhwoewon-gu.

Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, began dialogues with citizens starting from Masanhappo-gu on the 2nd and reached the final session with Masanhwoewon-gu citizens, the fifth district.

About 300 citizens attended the event, showing keen interest in hearing Mayor Hong's plans.

Mayor Hong personally explained projects underway for the future-oriented urban space of Masanhwoewon-gu, including ▲ the construction of Masan Station future-type transfer center ▲ the creation of a self-sufficient complex administrative town ▲ the advancement of Bongam and Jungri industrial complexes, stating, “Preparations for the leap forward of Masanhwoewon-gu are progressing without any setbacks.”

Regarding life-centered projects, he announced that approximately 49.1 billion KRW will be invested in 74 projects to ensure citizens can feel tangible changes in their daily lives, including ▲ installation of Yangdeok Sanho Stream musical fountain ▲ creation of the 2nd Geumgangsan circular barefoot walking trail ▲ road construction in Anseong and Pyeongseong villages in Naeseo-eup ▲ and establishment of public parking lots.

During the dialogue session directly chaired by Mayor Hong, various requests and suggestions were raised, such as the creation of resident convenience facilities, maintenance of roads and sidewalks, and expansion of parking spaces. Mayor Hong promised to actively work to resolve citizens' inconveniences.

Mayor Hong said, “I will carefully review the valuable opinions for city administration development with the responsible departments to minimize citizens' inconveniences. We will devote all efforts to promoting life-centered projects so that citizens can feel definite changes in their daily lives and their satisfaction with life can increase.”

Meanwhile, the 2024 citizen dialogues of Changwon Special City started on October 2nd in Masanhappo-gu, followed by Uichang-gu on the 10th, Jinhae-gu on the 15th, Seongsan-gu on the 21st, and concluded with Masanhwoewon-gu on the 22nd. The residents' opinions raised on-site will be forwarded to the responsible departments for thorough review.
