This expo allows visitors to see the latest technologies and products in the field of public safety from around the world all in one place. Various innovative technologies and products aimed at protecting the safe daily lives of citizens will be introduced.

This year, nine specialized exhibition halls have been prepared, including those for transportation and robotics, anti-terrorism equipment, crime investigation and forensic equipment. Special zones focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), protection of socially vulnerable groups, and drug detection technologies will also be operated.

There are three recipients of the Public Safety Industry Awards: ▲ Jeon Ju-il, Senior Researcher at the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, who developed 3D positioning technology and Wi-Fi-based precise search technology for quickly locating crime victims or missing persons; ▲ Lee Hyun-woo, CEO of Elminds, who developed a voice recognition emergency bell that detects screams and other sounds so that an alarm sounds and the police are notified simultaneously; ▲ Kang Seung-wan, CEO of iMediSin, who developed a medical device that measures brain waves and can be used for treating brain diseases or drug addiction.

The International Public Safety Industry Expo is expanding its role as a business hub for companies in the public safety industry to enter the global market. Last year, it signed export contracts worth 5 billion KRW during the event for the first time ever, and this year aims to conclude export contracts exceeding 6 billion KRW.

Jo Ji-ho, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, said, “I hope the International Public Safety Industry Expo grows into the world’s leading public safety industry expo and becomes a core national growth engine. We will spare no policy support, including legislation, to help companies in the public safety industry develop excellent technologies and products and secure domestic and international sales channels for sustainable growth.”
