A shocking accident occurred in China where a female streamer conducting a live broadcast was hit by a speeding vehicle.
According to local media such as China’s ifeng.com, the incident took place on the 19th in Leshan (樂山) City, Sichuan Province. The footage from the time of the accident shows a woman wearing a white coat sitting on the road with her phone in front of her, conducting a live broadcast.
At that moment, a black vehicle rapidly rushed toward the woman. After being hit by the vehicle, the woman startled and quickly stood up, while her phone, lighting equipment, and table were scattered on the ground due to the impact. The vehicle then left the scene without providing any aid. Although the woman did not sustain serious injuries, she remained frozen in place for a while, seemingly shocked.
Later, the woman reported the accident to the police, and it is known that the driver of the vehicle involved was arrested.

Reactions from local netizens who watched the video were mixed. Some criticized the female streamer for broadcasting dangerously on the road. They commented, "Why was she doing that on a dark night?" "She deserved to be hit by the car." "If it were me, I’d be so angry I’d hit her with the car too." "What was she thinking doing that there?" On the other hand, some defended the woman, saying, "No matter what, you can’t just hit someone and drive away." "Just watching it is terrifying." "She must have been very shocked." "Good that the driver was caught." "Be careful when broadcasting on the streets in the future."
Meanwhile, according to domestic law, failure to take proper measures after an accident can result in punishment. Under Article 54 of the Road Traffic Act (Measures to be taken in case of an accident), if a traffic accident occurs, the driver of the vehicle or tram involved, or other crew members, must immediately stop and take necessary measures such as rescuing the injured and provide personal information (name, phone number, address) to the victim. If failure to take such measures after an accident is confirmed, the offender may face imprisonment of up to 5 years or a fine of up to 15 million won.
