Yeoncheon County Council Opens 289th Extraordinary Session... Reports on Key County Policy Projects Yeoncheon County Council is holding the 289th extraordinary session on the 22nd.

The Yeoncheon County Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairperson Kim Mi-kyung) opened the 289th extraordinary session on the 22nd and began eight days of legislative activities.


During this extraordinary session, the council plans to review a total of eight agenda items, including four proposals: ▲ Ordinance on Exchange and Cooperation between Yeoncheon County Council and Domestic and International Local Councils (proposed by Chairperson Kim Mi-kyung and six others), ▲ Ordinance on Personnel Hearing of Yeoncheon County Council (proposed by Vice Chairperson Park Young-cheol and six others), ▲ Partial Amendment to the Committee Ordinance of Yeoncheon County Council (proposed by Councilor Park Yang-hee), and ▲ Partial Amendment to the Organizational Structure and Work Assignment Rules of Yeoncheon County Council Secretariat (proposed by Councilor Shim Sang-geum and six others). Additionally, the council will review ordinances submitted by the Yeoncheon County Governor, including the Ordinance on Designation and Support of Special Response Areas for Environmental Damage in Yeoncheon County. The session will also include a county government report covering major policy projects and overall administrative plans.


Before the agenda of the first plenary session, Councilor Park Woon-seo delivered a five-minute free speech addressing the issue of low birth rates in Yeoncheon County.


Chairperson Kim Mi-kyung urged, “As the year-end approaches, I hope everyone will reflect on the major achievements of 2024, establish measures for areas that have fallen short, and make every effort in advance to ensure that the key work plans for 2025 proceed smoothly.”
