Broadcaster-turned-TV personality Yoo Young-jae (60) has been indicted without detention on charges of sexual assault against actress Sunwoo Eun-sook's (64) biological older sister, and a YouTuber has commented on the matter.

YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, a former entertainment reporter, posted a video titled "Common-law marriage? Yoo Young-jae's chilling text message revealed... Sunwoo Eun-sook's shocking past she didn't even know about" on his YouTube channel 'Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho' on the 21st. In the video, he said, "Sunwoo Eun-sook's older sister suffered from severe anxiety even before filing the complaint," referring to Yoo Young-jae being brought to trial on charges of sexual assault.

Lee Jin-ho stated, "During the investigation, when Yoo Young-jae completely denied the charges, her health rapidly deteriorated. She was taking the highest level of medication prescribed by psychiatrists," and added, "Sunwoo Eun-sook herself was also deeply shocked mentally. Upon hearing that her older sister was sexually assaulted by Yoo Young-jae, she became so weakened that she had to visit a psychiatrist." He continued, "Now, some time has passed, and she has regained emotional stability," and added, "Her older sister also felt somewhat relieved when Yoo Young-jae's charges were acknowledged and he was brought to trial."

He also explained, "The decisive evidence that led the investigative authorities to recognize Yoo Young-jae's guilt was a recorded conversation between Sunwoo Eun-sook's older sister and Yoo Young-jae," adding, "The approximately 20-minute recording detailed how they accessed it, the method, and the circumstances. Notably, it included Yoo Young-jae partially admitting to the charges."

Previously, Yoo Young-jae and Sunwoo Eun-sook, who remarried in October 2022, announced their divorce last April after one year and six months. Subsequently, Sunwoo Eun-sook stated in an official statement, "Two days after the divorce, I learned through media reports that Yoo Young-jae had hidden a common-law marriage while marrying me," and filed an annulment lawsuit. The scandal deepened when it was revealed that Yoo Young-jae was also accused of sexually assaulting Sunwoo Eun-sook's biological older sister. On the 21st, Sunwoo Eun-sook's legal representatives announced, "The Suwon District Prosecutors' Office Seongnam Branch recognized Yoo Young-jae's violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (sexual assault by a family member) against Sunwoo Eun-sook's older sister on the 18th and indicted him without detention."
