Chungnam Province Hosts International Conference on Carbon Neutrality

Carbon neutrality experts from around the world will gather in Chungnam to discuss key issues.

The Chungnam Provincial Government, in collaboration with the Climate Group, will host the '2024 Carbon Neutrality International Conference' at Lotte Resort in Buyeo on the 29th and 30th.

More than 1,000 experts from institutions and organizations worldwide, including Governor Kim Taeheum and Helen Clarkson, CEO of the Climate Group, will attend the conference.

Domestic and international experts in various fields will give presentations and participate in discussions under the theme 'Leadership and International Cooperation of Local Governments for Climate Action.' An international forum on air quality improvement and policy facility tours are also scheduled.

A provincial official said, "We expect this conference to establish the roles of global local governments in climate action and to strengthen leadership and international cooperation."
