KB Securities Signs AI Customer Service Research MOU with UNIST

On the 22nd, KB Securities announced that on the 18th, it signed a "Business Agreement for Research and Analysis Foundation of AI Customer Service" with Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) at KB Securities' Yeouido headquarters.

The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of Kim Seong-il, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering at UNIST, Ha Woo-sung, Head of Digital Business Division at KB Securities, and other related personnel.


UNIST is one of South Korea's four major science and technology specialized universities leading the advancement of science and technology. Through innovative scientific research and education, it nurtures globally outstanding talents in technology. It also operates differentiated training programs that solve decision-making problems faced by industries and companies with globally verified engineering technologies.


Through this business agreement, the Industrial Engineering Department laboratory at UNIST and the AI Business Promotion Unit at KB Securities will conduct research on "discovering personalized investor propensity indicators and classification of stock and fund items" for AI service research and analysis.


KB Securities plans to strengthen cooperation in various areas such as joint research and development of new AI technologies, discovery of excellent use cases, and nurturing scientific and technological talents through the successful promotion of this project, thereby expanding its aspirations as a leading financial AI company.


Ha Woo-sung, Head of Digital Business Division at KB Securities, said, "Through this business agreement, we plan to implement a mid- to long-term customized AI asset management service utilizing individual investor behavior analysis," adding, "KB Securities will continue to lead financial AI innovation by securing differentiated competitiveness in customer services through financial AI and continuously developing hyper-personalized AI business models."


Meanwhile, KB Securities will participate as the main sponsor in the "AI & Data Science Competition," jointly hosted by three universities?UNIST, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH)?scheduled for the 4th of next month. The company will continue to create opportunities to discover fresh ideas from university students and outstanding talents from leading AI universities on the theme of financial AI.
