Gijang-gun, "Make Gijang a KTX-Eum Stop"... 2nd Pan-Citizen Rally

On the 19th at Jeonggwan-eup Central Park, All Residents Unite Their Desire to Attract External Attention

Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) held the "2nd All-Citizen Rally" on the 19th at Junggwan-eup Central Park, continuing the enthusiasm for attracting the KTX-Eum stop station with the participation of all residents.


This rally was organized to widely publicize the passion and wishes of Gijang residents for attracting the KTX-Eum stop station and to spread the enthusiasm for the attraction nationwide. It is the second rally following the "1st All-Citizen Rally" held on the 12th at Gijang Dream Ball Park.

The event was held in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the "10th Junggwan Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival," organized by the Junggwan Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival Promotion Committee.


Despite the rainy and gloomy weather, the Gijang residents attending the event shouted the slogan, "KTX-Eum stop station must be in Gijang!" together, expressing the residents' earnest desire to attract the Eum station externally.


They also clearly stated that attracting the stop station is the top priority task for the development of Gijang-gun, reaffirming that the KTX-Eum stop in Gijang-gun is not a choice but a necessity.


Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, "Since March, various events for attracting the stop station have been continuously held with the participation of residents from all walks of life," and added, "I hope the residents' sincere wishes for attracting the stop station reach KORAIL and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport."


Gijang-gun plans to continue the final enthusiasm for attraction by holding the third all-citizen rally, the "KTX-Eum Attraction Festa with Residents," on November 15 at Saemaeul Children's Park in Gijang-eup.
