Sunwoo Eun-sook's Side "Yoo Young-jae Indicted Without Detention... Accused of Sexual Harassment by Older Sister"

Former announcer and broadcaster Yoo Young-jae (60) has reportedly been brought to trial on charges of forcibly molesting the elder sister of his ex-wife, actress Sunwoo Eun-sook (64).

On the 21st, No Jong-eon, a lawyer from the law firm Jonja representing Sunwoo Eun-sook, stated, “The Suwon District Prosecutors' Office Seongnam Branch recognized the charges against Yoo Young-jae for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (forcible molestation within family relations) involving Sunwoo Eun-sook’s elder sister on the 18th, and indicted him without detention.”

It is reported that Yoo Young-jae denied all allegations during both the police investigation and the prosecution stage. However, the prosecution found the charges to be valid. Lawyer No emphasized, “We earnestly ask that malicious slanderous posts or comments against the victim and her family be refrained from, and we plan to take strict legal action against such malicious slanderous posts or comments.”

Yoo Young-jae and Sunwoo Eun-sook separated in April of this year, just about one year and six months after remarrying in October 2022. Subsequently, suspicions arose that Yoo Young-jae’s remarriage was actually a third marriage, not a second. Sunwoo Eun-sook stated in a public statement, “Two days after the divorce, I learned through media reports that Yoo Young-jae had hidden a common-law marriage and got married.” She later filed an annulment lawsuit at the Suwon District Court Seongnam Branch.

Later, it was revealed that Sunwoo Eun-sook’s elder sister filed a complaint against Yoo Young-jae at the Bundang Police Station on charges of forcible molestation, causing shock. The elder sister claimed that Yoo Young-jae made inappropriate physical contact with her five times since last year.

In response, Yoo Young-jae posted on his YouTube channel 'DJ Yoo Young-jae TV Yoo Young-jae Radio,' saying, “A frame of sexual harassment, like an indelible punishment, has been imposed on me,” and added, “If I die like this, the dirty sexual harassment will be accepted as fact, so I will legally fight it.” Sunwoo Eun-sook’s side rebutted again, stating, “It is clearly molestation.”
