LB Semicon and LB Rusem, which announced a plan for an absorption merger of LB Rusem, are both on the rise.
As of 9:40 a.m. on the 21st, LB Semicon is trading at 4,685 KRW on the KOSDAQ market, up 805 KRW (20.75%) from the previous session.
On the same day, LB Semicon's price rose to a high of 4,875 KRW during the session. The trading volume was about 2.74 million shares, with a trading value of approximately 12.6 billion KRW.
At the same time, LB Rusem, the acquired company listed on KOSDAQ, surged to 5,940 KRW, up 1,365 KRW (29.84%), hitting the price limit.
After the market closed on the 18th, LB Semicon announced that it would absorb and merge LB Rusem. Upon completion of the merger, LB Semicon will remain as the surviving company, and LB Rusem will be dissolved. The merger ratio between LB Semicon and LB Rusem is 1 to 1.1347948.
The company explained the purpose of the merger as "to strengthen competitiveness by building an integrated post-process service portfolio through corporate structure unification, to secure differentiation by acquiring excellent research and development capabilities and high-level technical personnel, and to enhance financing capabilities through improvement of financial and equity structures."
