This training was conducted as part of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Official Development Assistance (ODA) project, 'Establishment of Uzbekistan National Spatial Information Integrated Capability Enhancement System.' The trainees are expected to be trained as professional instructors at the Spatial Information Education Center to be established in Uzbekistan with support from the Korean government.

LX provided the trainees with advanced education on core spatial information competencies, including satellite navigation system (GNSS) surveying, aerial image post-processing and utilization, and web-based geographic information system (Web-GIS) development. Additionally, the latest trends in spatial information such as Korean spatial information policies, professional workforce training systems, comprehensive real estate registration systems, underground space information, and digital twins were introduced. Furthermore, the trainees experienced Korea's land informatization and cutting-edge technologies through field visits to the Land Development Exhibition Hall, cadastral surveying demonstrations, and LG Science Park.

Olimjon Abdullayev, Director of the Uzbekistan Cadastral Agency, said, "This training was very helpful in enhancing the practical skills of our staff," and added, "We hope that spatial information cooperation between the two countries will continue to be more active and diverse in the future."

Shim Byung-seop, Head of the Spatial Information Headquarters at LX, stated, "We expect that a foundation will be established for the Uzbekistan Cadastral Agency to secure spatial information professionals," and added, "We will continue to support the establishment of a cooperative system between LX and the Uzbekistan Cadastral Agency to ensure the sustainability of project outcomes."

Since 2016, LX has been transferring Korea's spatial information technology and land administration systems through projects such as the National Geographic Information System (NGIS) construction project, spatial information standardization consulting, and real estate registration system construction project in collaboration with the Uzbekistan Cadastral Agency.
