RaonSecure enhanced the understanding of Korean-style mobile ID (K-DID) technology through a capacity-building program for Indonesian government officials visiting South Korea.
IT security and authentication platform company RaonSecure (CEOs Lee Soon-hyung and Lee Jung-ah) conducted a capacity-building training program on K-DID technology for Indonesian government officials at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 16th.
More than 20 key officials from nine government ministries, including Arisriyanto, Director of Electronic Authentication Services at the Indonesian National Cyber and Crypto Agency, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Administrative Reform, Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, National Civil Service Agency, National Police Agency, and the Mint, visited RaonSecure’s headquarters.
During a lecture session titled “Understanding Blockchain-based Mobile ID Technology,” RaonSecure explained the features and advantages of K-DID technology and demonstrated Korea’s mobile ID app. The company also introduced its blockchain-based DID identity qualification and authentication integrated platform, OmniOne Digital ID, which was utilized in building the mobile ID. At the end of the session, attendees experienced a new lifestyle using mobile IDs by operating an unmanned vending machine equipped with mobile ID authentication functionality.
After the session, Indonesian government officials also directly experienced metaverse-based practical content such as laboratory animal autopsy, drone piloting, physical therapy, and caregiving services offered by RaonSecure’s subsidiary RaonMeta’s “Metademy.”
RaonSecure successfully carried out consulting for Indonesia’s national digital ID design last year by winning the “2023 Korea-Indonesia Digital Government Joint Cooperation Project Consulting,” and this year it secured the “Indonesia Integrated Digital ID Service Project” and is conducting a pilot project. The company expects this training to broaden understanding of K-DID technology and accelerate the implementation of Indonesia’s national digital ID project.
Yoo Jin Lee, Vice President of RaonSecure, said, “Indonesia is the country showing the highest interest and determination in adopting blockchain-based national digital ID.” She added, “RaonSecure will accelerate its leap to become a global leader in blockchain-based digital ID through the successful execution of the Indonesia Integrated Digital ID Service Project.”
Meanwhile, RaonSecure is expanding its global national digital ID business based on its capabilities and know-how in building Korea’s blockchain-based national mobile ID. In addition to Indonesia, the company is currently conducting the “Public Digital Wallet Construction Project” in Costa Rica and is also in discussions with several countries including the Philippines regarding related projects.
