The '17th Mapo Naru Saeujeot Festival' brought together famous saeujeot from all over the country, including Ganggyeong, Gwangcheon, Boryeong, Sinan, Buan, and Sorae.
As one of Mapo-gu's representative festivals attracting many people nationwide, Mapo-gu rolled up its sleeves to manage the origin of saeujeot.
Mapo-gu conducted strict origin inspections even before the festival began.
Along with this, from October 18 to 20, when the festival was held, the 'Saeujeot Monitoring Team,' composed of employees from the Mapo-gu Hygiene Division and the Citizen Safety Division, conducted daily origin labeling and quality inspections once a day at the festival site.
Park Gang-su, the mayor of Mapo-gu, said, "To live up to the reputation of the 'Mapo Naru Saeujeot Festival,' loved by the entire nation, we are conducting more thorough inspections of the saeujeot origin to prepare safe and reliable food. We hope many people visit the saeujeot festival and enjoy decorating their family tables deliciously with high-quality and fresh saeujeot."
