The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) has completed the designation of the '2024 Second Half Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Special Field Training Institutions' and is striving to cultivate teachers' professionalism and job performance capabilities.
According to the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education on the 20th, a total of 20 special field training institutions were designated this time, and 39 training courses will be operated until February 28, 2025.
The designation evaluation of training institutions was conducted in three rounds, mainly by internal and external committee members. The main criteria included ▲training expenses ▲instructor selection ▲training methods and locations ▲training objectives ▲job relevance, and institutions were fairly selected based on indicators and standards.
The Office of Education plans to conduct on-site inspections to ensure that newly designated institutions properly conduct training courses and to continuously manage quality.
Accordingly, field education experts will directly visit the training institutions to closely examine the consistency with the training plan and the appropriateness of training operation preparations.
The Office of Education aims to enhance the substance of operations through quality management of training and actively support the revitalization of special field training reflecting on-site demands.
Lee Jeong-hyun, Director of the Educational Competency Policy Division at the Office of Education, said, “We will support the newly designated special field training institutions to actively strive to enhance teachers' professionalism,” adding, “We will focus on diversifying and autonomizing training to develop teachers' competencies and work hard on quality management of training institutions.”
