Recruitment for Senior Job Program Starts Next Month, Full Operation Begins in January Next Year

Taean County has recorded the highest number of participants in the 'Senior Job Program' in Chungnam for five consecutive years, leading the expansion of job opportunities for vulnerable groups in the region.
The county announced on the 19th that, recognizing the urgent need to create jobs for the elderly, it has secured the largest budget in Chungcheongnam-do for the 2025 Senior Job Program, providing jobs for a total of 5,467 seniors.
This is an increase of 350 people compared to this year's 5,117 participants, and the budget for the senior job program has increased by about 1.8 billion KRW to 21.91185 billion KRW (50% national funding, 15% provincial funding, 35% county funding) compared to this year's 20.06988 billion KRW.
By service type, there are 4,177 for public interest type, 670 for social service type, 309 for market type, and 311 for job placement type.
The county plans to begin recruiting participants for the senior job program starting next month, and after verifying eligibility and other procedures, will select and notify the final participants, officially launching the program in January next year.
In particular, for next year's program, the county intends to clearly distinguish the workload and content between the public interest and social service types, striving to provide systematic and transparent job opportunities.
A county official said, "The senior job program is aimed at improving the quality of life for local seniors," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create customized senior jobs so that our seniors can enjoy a stable life in their later years."
Meanwhile, depending on the type of program, the senior job program is open to eligible individuals aged 60 and over and seniors aged 65 and over (including those receiving basic pensions).
