Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, is posing in a school uniform at the old school uniform experience booth of the '2024 Goyang City Lifelong Learning Festival.'

"Based on Goyang City's excellent infrastructure, we will strive to make the entire city a rich place for learning."

Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province, said this on the 19th at the Singing Fountain in Ilsan Lake Park during the '2024 Goyang City Lifelong Learning Festival.'

The '2024 Goyang City Lifelong Learning Festival' held that day, under the theme 'A Neighborhood Good for Learning Together, Goyang,' was organized as a place to share the 2024 lifelong learning achievements of lifelong learning institutions, organizations, and clubs, and to foster a learning culture where citizens learn and grow together.

The opening ceremony was held on a special stage with poetry recitations by learners from 'Nopbit Hope School,' a literacy education institution recognized by Goyang City, delivering moving emotions to citizens by expressing half a century of time in each Korean character poem.

Additionally, experiential booths such as 'Making Herb Salt,' 'Learning Ocarina,' 'Making My Own Green Friend Mini Flowerpot,' and 'Lowering Earth's Temperature Practiced with Natural Loofah' were presented, along with poetry and painting exhibitions, performances, and various events that anyone could enjoy.

Especially this year, the On Village Happiness School project booth participated to promote Goyang Special City's educational support projects, and a science high school attraction promotion booth was also operated to gather citizens' interest and opinions.

Besides these, balloon performances, Goyang Special City Taekwondo demonstration team, and traditional dance provided various spectacles that offered both emotion and fun.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City said, "I thank everyone who practices lifelong learning," and added, "We will do our best to create a premium educational city based on Goyang City's excellent infrastructure."
