Tattooed Daughter's Name Only to Find Out She Was Someone Else's Child... The Bizarre Story of a Famous Soccer Player

Brazilian Soccer Prospect Vinicius Tobias
Influencer Girlfriend: "What Happened During Our On-and-Off Relationship"

He was overjoyed by the new life created between him and his girlfriend and even tattooed their daughter's name, but the child was not biologically his. This happened to Vinicius Tobias (20, Shakhtar Donetsk), a promising football talent from Brazil.

According to a report by global media outlet BeIN Sports on the 19th (Korean time), Vinicius posted on Instagram earlier this year that his influencer girlfriend Ingrid Lima was pregnant with his daughter. Along with the post, he revealed a tattoo photo of their daughter's name, "Maite."

However, when the child was born, he neither posted anything on Instagram nor visited the hospital, which led fans to worry that there might be problems between the two.

The truth was revealed a few days later by Ingrid herself. Through social media, Ingrid stated, "At the time of the pregnancy, both Vinicius and I were seeing other people. Then Maite was born. We decided to do a DNA test, and the conclusion was that Maite is not Tobias's daughter." This happened during a period when they were repeatedly meeting and breaking up.

The unstable relationship with Ingrid is also analyzed to have affected Vinicius's professional career. Vinicius is a Brazilian fullback. Although he is 175cm tall and not particularly physically strong, he is known for his excellent technique and foot skills typical of Brazilians, as well as his high understanding of defensive instructions such as cooperative defense and man-marking. Vinicius, who belongs to Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk, was loaned to the Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid due to the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022. He played for Madrid's second team until last year, showing a strong possibility of being called up to the first team, but he fell into a slump this year and eventually returned to Donetsk in June.
