Uijeongbu Mayor Kim Dong-geun Participates in Child Abuse Prevention Relay Campaign

Uijeongbu Mayor Kim Dong-geun is participating in a child abuse prevention relay campaign on the theme of "Respecting Children as They Are, Positive Parenting" on the 18th.

Kim Dong-geun, Mayor of Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province, participated in a child abuse prevention relay campaign on the 18th under the theme "Respecting Children as They Are, Positive Parenting."

This campaign has been promoted since May by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Child Rights Protection Agency targeting heads of public institutions to raise awareness about child abuse and spread the recognition of positive parenting.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun joined the campaign upon the nomination of Kim Deok-hyun, County Governor of Yeoncheon, and recommended Kim Yeon-gyun, Chairman of the Uijeongbu City Council, and Cho Won-hyo, Chief of the Uijeongbu Police Station, as the next participants.

Mayor Kim said, "A proper understanding of children and positive parenting are very important for the holistic development of children," adding, "I hope this campaign will help spread positive parenting within the local community and make Uijeongbu City free from child abuse."
