Namyangju City to Change Thank You 30 Bus Route Starting Next Month on the 16th Guri City Hall exterior.

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 18th that the Thank You 30 bus route will be changed starting from the first trip on the 16th of next month.

Currently, the Thank You 30 bus operates from Cheonghak-ri via Byeollae Station, Toegyewon Station, and Sareung Station to Geumgok-dong. The section between Saneung Garage and Geumgok-dong will be shortened.

Following the opening of the Byeollae Line in August, residents of Cheonghak-ri in Byeollae-myeon and Byeollae 5 Complex requested improved access to Byeollae Station. In response, since last month, the city changed the route of the Thank You 30 bus between Byeollae Hanaro Mart and Byeollae Station, reducing travel time to Byeollae Station by 4 to 5 minutes. With this upcoming route change, the operational efficiency of this bus line is expected to improve further.

Due to the long distance of 42 km round trip, the city has had difficulties shortening the bus intervals. However, by excluding low-utilization sections through this measure, the intervals between buses can be reduced.

As a result, the number of trips for the Thank You 30 bus (Cheonghak-ri to Saneung Garage) will increase by 10, and the intervals during peak commuting hours, when ridership is high, are expected to narrow to 8 minutes.

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju said, “We decided to change the route to improve citizens’ convenience in using public transportation and access to Byeollae Station, as well as to operate the bus route more efficiently. We will continue to monitor the operation and promptly take necessary measures to improve citizens’ transportation convenience.”

Meanwhile, the section between Saneung Garage and Geumgok-dong, which will be shortened, currently has three city bus routes?23, 55, and Thank You 20?operating 190 trips daily.
