Schedule for Approximately 65 Days, Fuel Replacement and Preventive Inspection Planned
Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Head: Lee Seyong) announced that "Hanul Unit 4 (Pressurized Water Reactor, 1,000 MW class) ceased power generation at 10 a.m. on October 18 and began the 17th planned preventive maintenance scheduled for approximately 65 days."
During the planned preventive maintenance period, Hanul Unit 4 will carry out equipment improvements such as reactor head replacement, undergo various statutory inspections according to the Nuclear Safety Act, and after confirmation of compliance by regulatory authorities, receive operation approval from the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission to resume power generation in December.
