At the deliberation committee meeting, in-depth discussions were held on 266 projects applied for by 72 elementary, middle, and high schools in the jurisdiction and the Yangsan Office of Education, and the 2025 education expense subsidy support plan was reviewed and resolved.

The 2025 education expense subsidy projects include ▲basic environment improvement ▲academic achievement development ▲specialized program support ▲native-speaking assistant teacher school placement support ▲career education support center support ▲future education district support ▲new school book purchase support ▲school spirit fostering support ▲school sports fostering support projects. As a new project, support for curriculum operation expenses was approved to ensure the successful establishment and enhancement of vocational education capabilities of Yangsan Artificial Intelligence High School, the first specialized high school in Yangsan, which will open in March 2025.

In particular, for the basic environment improvement project, the support scale was expanded compared to the previous year by reflecting complaints about school facility improvements, and while prioritizing the realization of universal educational welfare and strengthening public education, the committee deliberated to provide customized education expense support tailored to each school's situation.

Jo Hyun-ok, Vice Mayor and Chairperson of the Yangsan City Education Expense Subsidy Deliberation Committee, said, “We will do our best to support the education sector so that our children, who will be the leaders of the future, can fully develop their talents and abilities in a safe and happy environment,” and urged, “The Office of Education and schools at all levels should also work together to create a high-quality educational environment for students.”

In addition to the education expense subsidy projects, Yangsan City is promoting the school facility complex project for Jeungsan Middle School and the tentatively named Seokgeumsan Middle School in cooperation with the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education. The city is also contributing to the realization of universal educational welfare through various and practical supports such as free high school tuition support, university student loan interest support projects, Dream Expansion college entrance consulting, and eco-friendly meal support.
