'Pro-Moon' Innovation Meeting, 'Yoon Resignation' Press Conference... "Cannot Understand the Reason for Regime's Existence"

The pro-Lee Jae-myung faction organization, 'The Minjoo National Innovation Council (Innovation Council),' held a 'Press Conference Urging the Immediate Resignation of the Yoon Seok-yeol Administration' at the National Assembly. The Innovation Council co-representatives, including Kang Seon-woo, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, delivered a message to President Yoon demanding his resignation.

On the morning of the 18th, the Innovation Council stated at the National Assembly Communication Hall press conference, "We demand the immediate resignation of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, which denies the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, destroys democracy, ruins people's livelihoods, and drives the Korean Peninsula into the brink of war." Attending the event were Innovation Council co-representatives Kang, former Supreme Council member of the Democratic United Party Bang Yong-seung, Yoo Dong-cheol, Democratic Party Busan Suyeong District Chairman, Lee Young-soo, Democratic Party Gyeongbuk Provincial Party Chairman, and former Daejeon Mayor Heo Tae-jung. Kang left before the reading of the statement due to a National Assembly audit schedule.

The Innovation Council claimed, "People's livelihoods have collapsed, and the national finances are ruined," adding, "Despite the soaring prices of cabbage and radish during kimchi-making season deepening the public's worries and sighs, the presidential office is focusing all national power solely on protecting Kim Geon-hee with false explanations about the 'immature older brother'." They continued, "State institutions are being manipulated by First Lady Kim Geon-hee, who was not elected," and "The prosecution deliberately ignored evidence supporting allegations of stock price manipulation crimes by the First Lady."

Furthermore, they said, "The sovereign people have sent warning messages and waited for change for over two and a half years," but "the incompetence and arrogance of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration show no end." They emphasized, "To avoid losing even the faintest chance to restore the deteriorating democracy and people's livelihoods, the Yoon Seok-yeol administration must not continue any longer."

Lee Young-soo, Democratic Party Gyeongbuk Provincial Party Chairman, told reporters after the press conference, "We plan to actively raise our voices demanding the resignation of the Yoon administration." The Innovation Council stated that they did not discuss this press conference with the party leadership in advance.
