'Bomnadeulgeori Festival' Connecting Chuncheon Old Downtown to Be Held on 25th-26th

Chuncheon City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Yuk Dong-han) announced on the 18th that the "2024 Spring Nadeul Street Festival - Connecting Chuncheon Old Downtown" will be held from the 25th to the 26th in the Chuncheon old downtown area. "Spring Nadeul Street" is the new name for the eight commercial districts of Chuncheon old downtown (Myeongdong Shopping Street, Brown 5th Street, Chuncheon Underground Shopping Center, Chuncheon Central Market, Jeil General Market, Yuklim Hill, Yoseon-dong Shopping Street, Jowoon-dong Shopping Street), linking these eight commercial districts through the festival.

This festival was prepared to promote harmony between generations and to unify the old downtown commercial districts, thereby revitalizing the old downtown area. The festival will run for two days from 12 PM to 9 PM and will feature a variety of programs including △ popular singer performances △ dance and singing contests △ prize drawing events △ photo contests △ wellness experiences △ commercial district tours △ cultural and artistic performances △ flea markets △ food & beer parties △ Changhyeon Street karaoke, among others.

On the first day, the 25th, "Punch" will perform, and on the second day, the 26th, "Kim Pil" will take the stage. Additionally, participatory programs such as wellness experience programs with Lee Jun-myung, Changhyeon Street karaoke, and dance contests will be available, providing visitors with opportunities to showcase their talents.

The prize events are also noteworthy. From the 22nd to the 26th, three days before the festival, customers who submit receipts showing purchases of 30,000 won or more in Chuncheon old downtown will receive instant prize draws and entry tickets for the prize drawing. The prize drawing ceremony, featuring abundant prizes such as home appliances, will be held at 6 PM on the 26th. Since the instant prize draw may end early if prizes run out, participants are encouraged to join promptly.

Visitors can also enjoy commercial district tours that allow them to experience the charm of the old downtown firsthand, as well as the "Food & Beer Party," where they can enjoy various foods paired with beer. Furthermore, a photo contest of the old downtown will be held, offering participants a chance to share the beauty of the old downtown through their photographs, with small prizes awarded to participants. In addition, experience programs such as customized color diagnosis and atmosphere creation will be provided, offering enjoyable experiences for visitors.
