The Korean Association for Space Security (KASS, President Lee Jae-woo) announced on the 17th (local time) that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation with the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) at the International Astronautical Conference (IAC) 2024 held in Milan, Italy.
KASS and ESPI agreed to carry out the following activities in the future: △ mutual dispatch of experts and researchers △ cooperation in organizing and operating seminars, symposiums, and educational programs △ mutual translation and distribution of published materials such as papers, articles, and policy briefs issued by both organizations △ sharing information on international conferences, symposiums, workshops, and meetings, and inviting each other when necessary △ development of projects including joint research and activities related to joint research budgets.
President Lee Jae-woo anticipated that through this MOU signing, the association has established a practical platform for exchange and cooperation with ESPI, a leading European institution specializing in advanced space security strategies and technology policies, and that it will further strengthen its role as a specialized academic research institution in space security.
