Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted a joint inspection of the festival venue with Masan Jungbu Police Station ahead of the opening of the Masan Gagopa Chrysanthemum Festival.

On the 17th, Deputy Mayor Jo Myung-rae and Chief Tak Cha-dol of Masan Jungbu Police Station walked the approximately 2 km route from the first exhibition hall, 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park, to the second exhibition hall, Happo Waterfront Park, inspecting the site thoroughly.

Deputy Mayor Jo checked preemptive measures to alleviate crowd density, anticipating a large influx of people, and focused on safety measures around the exhibition area. Additionally, he carefully examined whether safety management personnel were appropriately deployed and if movement routes were secured to promptly respond to any unexpected situations that might occur at the festival.

Deputy Mayor Jo stated, “Proactive safety management is necessary to prevent unpredictable accidents at festivals where many people gather,” and added, “We will work closely with Masan Jungbu Police Station to ensure thorough safety management.”

Meanwhile, the 24th Masan Gagopa Chrysanthemum Festival, the largest chrysanthemum festival in the country, will be held for nine days from the opening ceremony on the 26th until November 3rd at 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park and Happo Waterfront Park. A total of 165,000 multicolored chrysanthemums (120 million flowers), an increase of 60,000 from last year, will be displayed in a vibrant array.

Especially this year, various new events will be held in addition to chrysanthemum flowers. These include the ‘Chrysanthemum Dance Cheerleading Festival’ by local sports team cheer squads, the ‘Chrysanthemum Dream Parade’ featuring military bands and Robot Land performance teams, and surprise ‘Guerrilla Musicals’ that will be performed unexpectedly at the festival.

Night events such as a drone light show, marine fireworks show, the Chrysanthemum Song Festival, and the newly introduced Chrysanthemum Indie Music Festa are also planned, making it a festival that people of all ages can enjoy together.
