The stock price of Korea Zinc, which is currently involved in a management rights dispute, is showing a slight upward trend.
As of 9:06 a.m. on the 18th, Korea Zinc was trading at 802,000 KRW on the KOSPI market, up 8,000 KRW (1.01%) from the previous trading day.
The Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 50 (Chief Presiding Judge Kim Sang-hoon) will hold the first hearing on the injunction request to suspend Korea Zinc's treasury stock tender offer procedure on the same day. The Youngpoong side filed the injunction request with the Seoul Central District Court on the 2nd.
Chairman Choi Yoon-beom's side believes they will win this injunction as well, based on the court's previous dismissal of Youngpoong's injunction request to prohibit Korea Zinc from acquiring treasury stock.
On the other hand, Youngpoong argues that Korea Zinc's treasury stock tender offer itself constitutes a breach of fiduciary duty and therefore must be immediately halted.
